Jewish Theatre of the South was created to meet the cultural needs of Atlanta's growing Jewish community by producing quality, professional theater with Jewish content, and to serve the communityatlarge by producing regional premieres and seldomproduced plays that originate from a Jewish perspective, yet speak to universal audiences. JTS is committed to presenting plays which challenge, enlighten and entertain; plays which otherwise may not have been produced in this region; plays which connect Jews to their own cultural community and plays which build bridges to others.
