The Jewish Theatre Ensemble (JTE) is an entirely student-run theatre group at Northwestern University. We produce four mainstage productions a year, as well as the traveling storytelling troop, JTE Storytellers. JTE exists to provide the Northwestern and greater Chicago community with high quality entertainment and exposure to Jewish involvement in the arts. We aspire to challenge common perceptions and generate conversation relating to issues that fall within the resonance of the Jewish experience. We are involved in the celebration and education of Jewish culture on campus, operating at a level of artistic excellence and encouraging creative endeavors that promote Jewish themes in the arts.
